Bird in flight

This is a clip from my film! the colored bird looked so nice on a blank bg that I

thought I'd upload and give a little preview. Finally with the help of one of the profs

I got the effect i was looking for in this scene. THANK YOU! : D

And the jewel case cover and interior, with a short synopsis. the bio is a bit different , but it works
for the niche id like to fill in the future. writing and illustrating childrens books, i think i'd be wicked awsome for it! of course a dictionary and learning to use capitals once in a blue moon might help! :D

Oh hai! welcome to what is our year book! My indie film page is above, the bird scene is one of my favorites in my film :)

My sketch book choices, i actually drew the central bunny the night before it was due,, hate to say it... Tom is ALWAYS right.

handpainted backgrounds, not a lost art form :D

Another handpainted bg for my independant film, there are textures added via photoshop that would just have been too much to handle on such a small painting. *on a larger one those would have been reproduced manually also*

anyway! happy eye candy-ness :D

Some lifedrawing at home, this was just a nice short sketch, 20 ish minutes, with conte pencils.
im really getting to like the medium . anyhow , hope everyone is having a good weekend, mine was a little effed up but it got better :)

ok! the mini for this is down lower in the blog, so far, this is a five foot pan A to F!
AAAAAAnd its not finished with yet :D

i still have some elements to add via photoshop, the hardpart is over, though the stitch could use a little work. some things need ironing out, im just happy the school has a bigger scanner than i do! else i wouldn't have been able to get my bg's scanned properly.
This bg is from near the end of my film, the apple im told looks nice enough to eat, but
its supposed to be a picture in wallpaper, so that would be unadvisable :)

alrighty, thats it from me today , now its home to get intimate Capt.J Hook, have to have his model memorised for class tomorow , , yea!

pick a card

Ok! One computer crash and one meltdown later , a set of possible business cards! Im not sure

which ones will be good , but after a print out im sure it will get narrowed down, or more likely, a second set will follow :( Who knows , i may have hit something good, i love the ones in brown

parchment , which are a little larger than average cards. The black ones are nice too , and are a

touch smaller than typical cards.

Recently i had a visit from a good friend who took a fine arts course up in thunderbays' lakehead university. Shes gone off again to Korea now , to teach young men conversational english and take in as much of the culture as she can. :) At the family's house for supper we exchanged comments over our portfolios, and at her exclamations over our lifedrawing, she gave us *jayce and i* the remains of her lifedrawing materials, consisting of soft pastel and some marvellous paper that seems to eat color. :D

So far this is my first try , but i enjoy the way the colors mix! its much fun, jayce did some really good bust nudes, aaand i had a more whimsical idea. *lolz*

a miniature thumb for the beginning pan to my third year film, its only about 10 inches

but was so pretty , decided to blog it :) so far , im finding out that animation paper hates

water color,, i know *duh* right? but i had to try, and i WILL finish the bugger!

though , i did the smart thing and bought water color paper for the rest of my bgs, all being

done traditionally :D

Ok! i've done some middle of winter-spring cleaning,

some really old stuff has been chucked to make way for some awsome new stuff :D

Welcome to a new year , just to catch up from the last time i blogged, im in the third year of the animation program at algonquin college, and in the process

of making my own film.

Eventually i'll get some prelims up here , and who knows, i may get to like blogging and updating. :)
